TRANSMIT Brings Semi-Transparent Photovoltaic Demonstrator to ERN Braga 2026

The TRANSMIT Consortium is pleased to share its participation in European Researchers' Night 2026, held in Braga, Portugal, on 25 September. Taking place each year in cities across Europe, the event brings science to life and shows the public how research connects with everyday areas such as energy, health and technology.

This year, TRANSMIT joined a lively programme at Forum Braga, where games, live demonstrations and multimedia displays drew adults and children alike. The project welcomed visitors with a semi-transparent photovoltaic demonstrator, which served as a starting point to introduce TRANSMIT's design approach, based on micro-striped solar cells, and to explain how this technology could turn windows into energy-harvesting surfaces.

Outreach activities such as ERN allow the consortium to share the project's research with a wider audience, raising awareness of TRANSMIT and its contribution to the field.
