TRANSMIT at the Zero Carbon Built Environment 2026

We are thrilled to share that our partner Middle Eastern Technical University (METU) in Turkey, represented by Ömür Gündüz, recently presented key TRANSMIT research at ZCBE 2026 in Lisbon!

In the paper "Building Energy Performance Analysis Through the Integration of Rooftop and Semitransparent Photovoltaics", the team explored how integrating different solar technologies can maximise onsite energy generation in urban environments. The research highlights that while semitransparent photovoltaics are an excellent solution when rooftop space is constrained, their ultimate impact relies on synchronizing energy production with the dynamic energy demands of the building.

Congratulations to Ömür and the entire METU team for advancing our understanding of zero carbon built environments!
