TRANSMIT at The Energy Transition: Nordic Countries & the CETPartnership

Elias Peraticos from the University of Cyprus, a partner in the TRANSMIT project, participated in the event "The Energy Transition: Nordic Countries & the CETPartnership", held on 8 June 2026 in Oslo, Norway.

The event brought together policymakers, researchers, industry stakeholders, and CETPartnership-funded projects to discuss the latest developments in clean energy technologies, energy system integration, and pathways towards a climate-neutral future. As a CETPartnership-funded initiative, TRANSMIT contributes directly to these goals through the development of innovative semi-transparent photovoltaic technologies for building integration.

TRANSMIT’s goal is to develop aesthetically pleasing, high-performance semi-transparent photovoltaic (STPV) solutions based on advanced CIGS and perovskite technologies, enabling building windows to generate renewable electricity while maintaining visual transparency and user comfort. Beyond device performance, the project also evaluates environmental, economic, and societal impacts, supporting the wider transition towards sustainable and energy-efficient buildings.

Participation in this event provided an excellent opportunity to exchange knowledge with leading European researchers and energy stakeholders, strengthen collaboration within the CETPartnership community, and showcase how building-integrated photovoltaics can contribute to future resilient and sustainable energy systems.
